All of us at one time or another experience stress in our lives. Times right now are stressful with the state of our nations economy, high unemployment rate and the holidays upon us can cause stress for many. When we are stressed out we have dreams that reflect our state of mind, consciously and subconsiously. Sometimes the subconsious mind will create an escape dream that is kind and warm for you to get some relief from your daily worrying. But mostly when stressed our dreams will be filled with darkness, sadness and frustrating actions and if not paid attention to the dreams will turn to nightmares.
Stress or worrying can be described as “going around and around” a problem without coming to a solution to the problem. This kind of thinking can rob you of precious sleep.
One way of dealing with stressful times in our life is to get out and exercise. Daily brisk walks, a trip to the gym or dancing or something that lets you “blow off” the extra steam. In addition, when you are about to go to sleep make a deal with yourself to “put away” the problem for the night so you can sleep restfully. Or you can request an answer or insight to handling your “problem” then “sleep on it” and expect an answer when you wake up.
Program yourself to deal with your problems instead of evading them in hopes of them just going away without you facing them. This is where working with your dreams can really help. Journaling helps relieve alot stress just by getting your thoughts out on paper. You can also write down a question in your dream journal and expect an answer or insight in the morning. Remembering to record your dreams (no matter how crazy they seem upon waking,) is important, there is a message or a lead to getting to the root of the problem.
One last note, consider this, stress is caused by our personal interpretation of reality and our expectations of how things should be. By opening ourselves up and accepting things as they are and then looking at them from a non-emotional stance, even for a few moments can bring clarity and insight to handling the situation.

Using affirmations to change, improve and reprogram our subconscious minds work wonders and do bring about wonderful changes in our lives. The main point about working with affirmations is that you want the wording to work for you. Feelings and emotions behind a thought is what helps the speed at which the desire manifests. Therefore, it is important
that your affirmation sparks those good vibrations, feelings and emotions to get the manifesting ball rolling. For example, some people like lengthy ones and others like shore and sweet. Some like it to rhyme and some like to sing it. Whatever works for you is best. But as you are saying your affirmation you will notice how well they are working by what your dreams reflect you.
Let’s use money as an example. You are needing some money or wanting to add more prosperity to your life so you start using an affirmation: People Love To Give Me Money. And you are saying this all day and night
to yourself and having a great feeling and thinking Wow this is great and then that night you dream a dream that is dark and dreary etc. The dream points out to you that you have a block to receiving money
or that you just don’t believe that people would randomly give you money. Voila! the block is revealed. Thank yourself for pointing out this subconscious belief. This block can be changed but until you dreamt it you were unaware of this subconscious belief or disbelief and an affirmation will work for you once you change that belief.
In fact, any of us who are not in the flow of money and prosperity have some kind of basic subconscious block to riches and prosperity.
How do you change the blocks? in a word, visualization. I suggest that you take your ‘block’ and I will continue here with prosperity. Get into a meditative state, or just quiet the mind. Now repeat your affirmation
and see, feel and hear the affirmation – use all your senses in a scene that you could conceive and believe happening.
If you cannot conceive the idea and believe it with all your heart then you must use an affirmation that works for you.
Once you find the affirmation that clicks with you and as you change your belief (block) in your subconcious mind your night time dreams may show you how you are progressing or your dreams can also show you when you need to change your goals or when outdated beliefs are blocking your way of real spiritual truths.
Positive money beliefs in dreams can be represented by having gold, silver, money, jewelry, being surrounded by oppulence in your dream backgrounds, luxury, etc
Sweet, Prosperous Dreams!
Because we are all made of energy, we are constantly bombarded with each other’s thoughts and feelings. Not only are thoughts and feelings impressed upon us from the physical world, but also from the spirit world. Being aware of the environment that surrounds us, and protecting ourselves from it, is important to our mental, spiritual and physical well being. For example, have you ever walked into a room and suddenly, for no apparent reason, became depressed, ill or gotten a headache? This is because you are picking up on someone else’s energy. As a medium, I have to be very careful when around other people, especially at funerals or visiting sick people. I am very sensitive to the feelings and thoughts of others. Many times I can be in a room full of people and pick up thoughts of despair, anger or deep sadness, and I actually feel and hear these thoughts from others. It is very taxing on my spirit and energy, and I have to get home to rest and cleanse my own aura. However, keep in mind that not all thoughts I receive or pick up on are bad. There are thoughts of love, prayer, healing and good, but mostly people are sending out and living in thoughts of depression, greed, jealousy and envy.
To combat these negative feelings, I begin and end each day with a simple prayer of protection. It is easy to do and takes only a minute. This is the same prayer I use before doing dream interpretations or medium work of any type. I also do it again if I am going to be dealing with some person or situation I know is not sending out the most positive vibes! It is called the White Light of Protection Prayer. The original prayer is from Unity School of Christianity, but I have embellished on it somewhat.
Upon awakening, while still in bed with your eyes closed, envision a beautiful white light coming from the top of your head that encircles you completely, about 5 inches from your physical body, say to yourself:
An impenetrable white light of God surrounds me. The light of God surrounds me, the love of God enfolds me, and the power of God protects me at all times.
This process of protection takes about two minutes. It is easy to do if you find that you may need extra protection during the day. Simply go into the restroom, your car or any place you can be alone, close your eyes and envision your white light and say the words of protection.
It is important to remember that we must stay grounded. Remember like attracts like. When we are centered and grounded and live and think from thoughts of love, prosperity, peace and harmony, we will attract just those things. Also, remember to keep watch regarding the company you keep and the people you associate with, because the people around us are a reflection of our thoughts.
